We miss you! But, our team at WMA is working hard at home to connect you with important art, artists, and ideas of our time.
In accordance with health and safety guidelines,WMA is unable to reopen at this time and we are carefully considering when and how we may begin to reopen while ensuring the safety and comfort of our visitors, staff, and volunteers. At this time, we do not yet have a date for reopening to the public. We will announce any new information and visitor procedures on our website and social media channels as they become available. We look forward to welcoming you back once we are ready and able to do so safely.
In the meantime, visit this page often for new ways to connect with each other! Thank you for your understanding and support.
All the best,
Dana-Marie Lemmer
Executive Director

We know not everyone in our community has access to internet resources, or the art supplies at home to participate in our activities. That’s why WMA is partnering with Dothan City Schools to provide take-home art supply kits to include in the Meal Distribution Program. Kits include lessons and all of the supplies needed to create for over 1,200 students.
Inspired to Connect
Check the museum’s social media accounts often! We’ll have original content from artists including Instagram takeovers, live art talks, and virtual residencies which support artists in the creation of new work.
Beverly West Leach will be taking over our Instagram on May 7
Lily Reeves launches her virtual residency through a weekend takeover May 16-17. Tune in to see what these artists have been working on from home.
Sydney A. Foster also begins her residency in Houston County; stay tuned for details as she explores what makes our region unique.
