In this talk, Jessica Wohl a B22: Wiregrass Biennial exhibiting fiber artist will discuss her recent body of work, Imagining Matriarchy, an exhibition of hand-sewn quilts that envision what a matriarchal society might feel like. She will discuss how her work takes on the patriarchy, the state of our country, glass ceilings, and our national flag while addressing the work-life balance so many Americans struggle to maintain. She will also discuss her ongoing socially-engaged work, The Free Patch Work Project, where she mends garments for free as an act of loving-kindness.
A 15-minute Q&A will follow the 30-minute talk on ZOOM. Free to all. Registration required.
