Join us on ZOOM for an artist discussion about the newly released artbook Entwined. Artists Carolyn DeMeritt and Pinky/MM Bass will talk about their book with the book designer Susan Walker. Entwined is a fine art photography book and a personal passion project for Bass and DeMeritt. The book was released in the fall of 2021 but was in development for over two years and is based on DeMeritt’s 30-year project, Infinite Grace: An Extended Portrait of Pinky/MM Bass and Bass’ hand-stitched Interventions. Elements of this joint body of work have recently been exhibited at La Hydra Gallery, Mexico City; Whitespace Gallery, in Atlanta, Georgia and the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte, North Carolina, prompting the artists to explore the possibility of a book combining their two bodies of work.

Entwined contains 68 photographs and has 120 pages. It features a lay-flat Swiss binding with a foldout text section, an accordion foldout image feature, and exposed Coptic stitching. The Artist Talk begins at 6p with a 15-minute Q&A with the audience at 6:30p. The talk is free; Registration is required.
